1. Introduction

WAL Systems Corp. ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our product, TesDash (the "Service").

We are based in British Columbia, Canada, and this policy is drafted in compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of British Columbia.

By using TesDash, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with the data practices described in this policy, you should strictly stop using the Service and disconnect your vehicle immediately.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the TesDash telemetry and dashboard services.

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

• Account Information: When you sign up via Firebase Authentication, we collect your email address and, if provided, your name and profile picture.
• Vehicle Credentials: We use the Tesla Fleet API standard for authentication. We do not store your direct Tesla password. We store a secure access token provided by Tesla to authorize data collection.

2.2 Information Collected via Tesla API (Vehicle Telemetry)

Once you connect your vehicle, we collect detailed telemetry data to power your dashboard. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Vehicle Identity: Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), display name, color, and configuration.
• Status & Health: Battery level, range estimates, tire pressure, odometer reading, software version.
• Activity: Charging history, driving speed, gear status, power usage, and climate control settings.
• Location: Real-time GPS latitude and longitude, heading, and elevation.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: We use Google Analytics to understand how you use our web interface (e.g., pages visited, time spent, device type).
• Log Data: Our servers (hosted on-premise and/or via cloud providers) utilize Cloudflare and may automatically log your IP address, browser type, and access times for security and fraud prevention.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

• To Provide the Service: Displaying your vehicle's live status, plotting historical data on charts, and calculating efficiency metrics.
• To Maintain Your Account: Managing your login session via Firebase Auth.
• To Improve TesDash: Analyzing usage patterns via Google Analytics to fix bugs and prioritize new features.
• Communication: Sending you service-related notices (e.g., "Vehicle Disconnected" alerts or policy updates).

4. Consent

• Obtaining Consent: By connecting your Tesla account to TesDash, you explicitly consent to the continuous collection of telemetry data from your vehicle.
• Withdrawing Consent: You may withdraw your consent at any time by disconnecting your vehicle in the TesDash settings or by revoking TesDash's access via your Tesla Account privacy settings.

Note: Withdrawing consent stops future data collection but does not automatically delete historical data unless you strictly request deletion (see Section 8).

5. Data Storage and International Transfers

We are transparent about where your data lives.

• Primary Storage (Canada): Our primary database and telemetry storage are located on-premise in British Columbia, Canada.
• Cloud Service Providers (International): We may use third-party infrastructure that stores or processes data outside of Canada. Specifically:
  • Firebase/Google (USA/Global): Authentication and Analytics data.
  • AWS & CockroachDB (USA/Global): Potential backup or scalable database storage.
  • Cloudflare (Global): Content delivery and security caching.

6. Disclosure of Information

We will never sell your personal data. We only disclose your information in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: To third-party vendors (listed in Section 5) who perform services on our behalf, solely to carry out those services.
• Legal Requirements: If required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend our rights, or protect the safety of users.
• Business Transfers: If WAL Systems Corp. is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

7. Security of Your Information

We take reasonable security measures to protect your personal information, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
• Encryption of sensitive API tokens at rest.
• Strict access controls limiting data access to authorized WAL Systems Corp. personnel.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights (Access, Correction, and Deletion)

Under BC PIPA, you have the following rights:

• Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Right to Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Right to Deletion ("Right to be Forgotten"): You may request the deletion of your account and all associated vehicle telemetry data.

To exercise these rights, please contact our Privacy Officer at the address below. We will respond to your request within 30 days as required by law.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
